Ministry Overseas
Bethlehem Baptist is committed to serving the community in which we live. To be a Christian is to have a proactive concern for and participation in the well-being of our society. We view the good news of Jesus Christ as an expression of practical love for others, not just a spiritual or intellectual philosophy. These are some of the initiatives members of our church are developing and participating in which involve people outside of New Zealand.
Fiji
Through the regular sending of teams of Church members we have been able to establish a long term relationship with specific villages and the people of Fiji.

Mission Statement: "Taking the love of Jesus to the darkest corners of secular society and discipling the global youth culture".
The call of Steiger's band - "No Longer Music" - is to go take the gospel to some of the most difficult places on earth. They tour the globe performing their uniue rock gospel into secular night clubs, satanist clubs and festivals to bring Jesus to people in a way they can understand - through music, and hard-hitting graphic images, Jesus Camps and other culturally relevant and non-traditional methods of evangelism.
Their main aim is to communicate the gospel in places that conventional missionary teams cannot reach - Islamic countries, terrorist clubs, squatter villages, anarchist festivals, brothels, music festivals and clubs. Steiger also hae a number of bases throughout the world where they evangelize and disciple the counter-culture youth.
