Pray. Invite. Trust God.

As we prepare for Alpha 2026, we're inviting our church family to join us in a simple but powerful journey of prayer and invitation. 

Rather than simply running another course, we want to create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus. And often, that journey begins with one person praying... and one person extending an invitation.

Who are your three?

Who are three people God may be placing on your heart? 

Perhaps it's: A friend, A family member, A neighbour, A workmate, A teammate, Someone you've been meaning to reconnect with.

Write down their names and begin praying for them each day at 11:02am, inspired by Jesus' words in Luke 11:2: "Your Kingdom come." 

Prayer changes us, and God uses our prayers in ways we often cannot see. As we pray, we ask God to prepare hearts, create opportunities for conversations, and give us the courage to extend an invitation.

The Journey

Over the four weeks leading up to Alpha, we'll be taking this journey together as a church family.

Week 1: Pray

Begin praying intentionally for your three people each day at 11:02am.

Week 2: Invite

Prayer naturally leads to invitation. 

Look for opportunities to invite one or more of your three people to Alpha. 

We'll have invitation cards available at church, or you can simply share the Alpha webpage with them.

Week 3: Share

Stories are powerful. 

Throughout the week we'll be sharing testimonies from people whose lives have been impacted through Alpha. Let these stories encourage you as you continue praying and inviting. 

Remember: Your invitation could be the beginning of someone else's story.

Week 4: Trust God

By now you may have invited someone. You may still be praying. You may not know what the outcome will be. That's okay. Our role has never been to change hearts. Our role is simply to pray, invite, and trust God. 

As Alpha begins, we'll gather as a church family to pray over the names on our prayer cards and entrust them to God.

Let's Do This Together

Imagine what God could do if every person at Bethlehem Baptist Church committed to praying faithfully and inviting just one person. Hundreds of prayers. Hundreds of conversations.
